Hello all. Life has sucked me in to an endless, time consuming quest for completion of family and work oriented activities. Even though carrickonline greets me each day as my opening web page, I don't always participate with it and have not been responsive to it in a couple of years. My daughter Erin is getting older now, 12, and we are close to begin preparing for a pilgrimage to County Donegal for her sake. I have promised her this trip since she was born and I have but a few years left to follow through with this promise before she turns 18. My students have arrived so I must go. Your Carrick website is simply wonderful.I do not believe I have ever viewed a website before that really gave one the feeling that they have visited the place, if only for a few distant moments. I just returned from a week visit to Kilcar and Carrick areas. Lovely spot, found some family roots, and marvelled at the scenery and warmth of the people. GGparents were Michael Askin and Ellen Gillespie of Arigle gtownland and and John MCCunningham and Mary McGinley of Derrylahan Townland. There are probably some descendants of these families still in the area but am experiencing great difficulty tracindgthe line. Wouldgreatly appreciate any relevant info. You have a great web site.
