Patrick Mc Intyre, Malinbeg, Glencolmcille, Co.Donegal. Father of the late Michael Oliver Mc Intyre. Remains will be reposing at his daughter-in-law Carol Ann McIntyre’s residence at Main Street, Carrick from 6pm this evening. Funeral mass on Sunday morning at 11am at St. Columba’s Church, Glencolmcille with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

It was with great sadness I heard about the death of Paddy 'Ban' McIntyre. Both
Paddy and Bridget (his late wife) were great neighbours and I know that all my
family will agree with me as I remember great memories of our growing up in
Malinbeg and how Paddy would stop at our gate and take my younger siblings by
the hand, up 'The Line' as he went to check on his cattle, even ensuring they
had their own 'herding stick' just like Paddy himself.In summer we would see
Paddy walking up to the 'Gub' with fishing rod across his shoulder. They are
both missed and there isnt a time I go home but I look across at the solitary
Palm Tree in Bridgets garden (a reminder of her love of gardening) and think of
them. We also remember Michael Oliver at this time too,..they are now united as
family again... To lovely neighbours who are missed.May ye rest in peace and
happiness now.
